Question: Are witches born?

No. In order to become a witch, it is necessary to become a practitioner of the religion.

Traditions, or Trads, in Traditional Witchcraft in Britain each have their own separate variations in beliefs and practices particular to that Trad. What is common in the process of becoming a Trad seeker is 1) a conscious decision to follow the Old Ways and become a witch, and study and practice.

my mom was a wiccan and so was her mom.. and her grandmother.. they have passed on what they know to all generations.. but that doesn't make me an automatic witch i still have to learn things.. and add new things to the family BOS.. which is why i'm learning from someone other than family.. so no white warlock.. being born into something doesnt necessarily make you a better practitioner.. it helps.. but it doesnt make you any better than the rest of the witches who work their butts off..
